A few months back, I got a Kate Spade nail varnish in black free with a magazine. I had never really thought about wearing black before, but the two other colours that were available with the magazine were red and silver, both colours that don't really suit me anyway.
I was and am actually surprised by how much I like wearing black nail polish and even wear it in summer as it goes well with bright colours. I think it looks really shiny, sleek and stands out against my skin tone without looking too dark.

I used to wear black nail varnish all the time but found that it always went way too thick and hard to apply after about 3 uses! Now I go for a blackened navy which lasts much longer. Looks great on you!
